- SPShannon PayneFeb 4, 20261.0Went in 2 mail off some orders I leave the boxes open so they can verify and if anything use a piece of tape to seal it. Normally this isn't a problem since they have a roll of tape out for use for priority shipping.Although i wasn't shipping priority mail today. I purchased a bubble envelope for over $3 and asked if she could seal the box with a piece of tape and she told me I had to buy tape straps or a roll of tape so when I addressed the fact that the person in front of me asked her if she could put a piece of tape on the label on his package to make sure it was secure and asked if he needed to pay for it and she said no it was no problem and I had a small box a very small box that was a little bigger than a watch box I had to pay $2 more to seal my box when I advised her you didn't charge the man in front of me why am I having to pay for a piece of tape that it was ridiculous she had no answer so I would like an answer on why I was charged and the other person wasn't do they only charge certain people based on appearances or gender was it because I'm a female this is unacceptable and I will be filing a complaint I have never had an issue at any other post office when it came to using a piece of tape to seal a box
