The staff today seemed great! They have a very busy work schedule and long line, yet did a great job getting stuff shipped.

Staff works hard. Place gets busy very quickly for a variety of reasons. Lots of tourists and newcomers so customers can be a bit confused. Be patient if its busy.

Horrible service with a bad attitude. The current 2.6 stars is a generous score for this location. I came in 10 minutes before the post office opened at 9am. The line was already 5 people long but since it’s close to Christmas that is normal. There were only 2 clerks with one who claimed her computer was down. After she took all of the people with items that didn’t need a computer from the back of the line she attempted a reboot which worked. If she tried that sooner the people who were in line earlier would have been served and able to leave. Then there was the man who helped me and had to condescendingly “try to explain” why my letter could not be hand stamped. Then said he would stamp it with please do not bend but never did - at least not in front of me. I did not walk out until 9:20 - 20 minutes for only 5 people in front of me is absurd. The exterior of the building is super cute but the inside needs a complete renovation including modernization of the equipment and space for 2 more clerks.

An example of why people think the federal government is completely inefficient, unfortunately. Two stars for employees being friendly enough but the stereotypical sloth-like sense of urgency I’ve come expect from Florida, in spite of the many great things the state is known for. This location has lines that go out the door which move slower than the sloth at the DMV in Zootopia. The last half dozen times I’ve had the misfortune of needing to come here to mail one tiny package, it has taken no less than 30-45+ minutes. Holidays or otherwise, it never seems to change. Doesn’t matter when you go. Clear your calendar and bring snacks: you’re going to be here awhile. I literally don’t understand it. I can’t tell if the customers have just never mailed a package before or if the employees just take their time, but I guess the saying “time moves more slowly in Florida” also applies to everything else, as well.
