I want to give a special shoutout to Nancy at the Inverness Post Office. She went above and beyond to help me and made what could have been a stressful experience completely smooth and easy. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to help are truly rare. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she serves. Nancy is an absolute gem, this location is lucky to have her. Thank you so much, Nancy!

I gave 1 star because I had to give it something although this location is 0 star. I waited at the INVERNESS post office for about 30 minutes while preparing to ship a care package to my brother, who is currently on his first combat deployment overseas. By the time I reached the counter, it was close to closing, but we had already started the shipping process, and I had already apologized as this was stressful for me. My baby brother just deployed, and I have never sent a care package before as he has only been in the Navy for a year. As soon as the clerk realized the shipment required Customs forms, she refused to complete the transaction and told me to come back on Monday because she “didn’t have time to wait” because they had to load a truck. I had already been there well before closing, and this could have been communicated earlier instead of wasting my time. I remained polite and understanding in the moment, but the reality is the situation was handled unprofessionally and without regard for the circumstances. I explained that packages to deployed service members are currently experiencing delays of 6 weeks to 3 months, and this would only add to that. Despite that, no effort was made to assist or accommodate. In fact, she claimed Saturday VS Monday was no different. To make matters worse, I was not provided a proper shipping label and was told to write directly on the tote I purchased for my brother using permanent marker, which was completely inappropriate. Because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere, even if it means paying more or driving further. I cannot justify spending over $100 per shipment at a location that treats customers this way—especially when sending essential items to a deployed service member.

Female worker refused to do a shipment send out for a us customs package for a SERVICE MAN, because she “ didn’t have time for that” 30 mins before closing. Disrespectful to America.

2nd time my packages from Amazon were not delivered. They have and use several excuses, so again I have to go get my own stuff, and was even told to carry a 50 pound box to my car ( at 73 yrs. old and 1 yr. post back fusion and parked in the handicap area). I'm a native and just moved to Inverness 4 months ago and have NEVER seen this kind of behavior and such poor service...ever!
