Irresponsible management and a rude, unprofessional staff. The Postmaster and supervisor have ignored several problems of missing and opened mail & packages. They are clearly not following USPS Standards of Conduct, which require employees to be courteous and efficient. Truly a 0/10 experience in public service.According to the USPS Code of Ethical Conduct (39 CFR 447.11), "The maintenance of unusually high standards of honesty, integrity, impartiality, and conduct by Government employees and special Government employees is essential to assure the proper performance of the Government business and the maintenance of confidence by citizens in their Government." This office is failing to meet those federal standards. Customers deserve basic respect and the reliable service that USPS policies mandate. If you value your mail reaching its destination, avoid this location if possible.

We were waiting for a package and it said out for delivery. On the way home we decided to drive by our mailboxes which are pretty far from our actual house. We asked the woman who was doing the deliveries and was at our mailboxes if we could just get our package now so we wouldn't have to come back. She asked for our name and address then proceeds to tell us we have no mail at all being delivered today. That was a huge lie and not even five minutes after walking through our door I'm notified it was left in a package parcel box and we had several pieces of mail as well. This same carrier has marked us for attempted delivery for things requiring a signature but she's never once come to our home. She just lies and puts the slip in our mailbox which forces us to have to pick it up over twenty minutes away from the post office because she refuses to do any kind of deliveries to the person.

I had a very frustrating experience at the USPS in Haines City, specifically with a customer service representative named Robert.
My wife and I came in to have our passport applications authenticated so they could be shipped to a passport expediting service. Initially, we worked with Luis, who was excellent. We were missing one minor document for my wife’s application, and Luis advised us to return with it so they could complete the process and seal each application individually since everything was already signed.
When we returned, Luis was no longer there and Robert assisted us. I explained the situation, but instead of continuing where Luis left off, Robert stapled the missing document to my wife’s application and proceeded to put both of our applications and supporting documents into a single authenticated envelope.
I explained that our expediting service required the applications to be shipped separately to different locations. At that point, Robert became argumentative and dismissive, insisting that because we are married, everything had to go to the same address. When I tried to clarify the instructions we were given, his behavior escalated, he raised his voice, ripped open the envelope, scattered our organized documents across the counter, and nearly tore a $200 check I had written to the State Department.
He repeatedly made comments like “it’s your money” and loudly implied I was wasting it, essentially announcing to others in the lobby that I didn’t know what I was doing and that the person he gets his info from is a “passport guru” . His behavior was completely unprofessional and unnecessary.
To his credit, he eventually sealed the applications separately as requested, but not without causing a scene and making the situation uncomfortable.
My wife and I both received our passports successfully, which confirms that our instructions from the passport expediting services were correct.
Luis provided good service, but Robert’s behavior was unnecessary. He clearly needs additional training in customer service, professionalism, and understanding that there are multiple ways to process passport applications, specifically passport courier services.
