However, after my experience at this particular UPS store location, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. I recently moved to Estero from Miami and have generally found the people here to be extremely nice. Unfortunately, the customer service I encountered at this store was unacceptable. Based on other feedback, I see that I am not alone in this experience. This incident occurred on Friday, the 26th, and I hope the store manager takes this opportunity to improve customer service. As a business owner with over 38 years of experience, I understand how challenging it can be to manage employees who may not be performing well. The two ladies behind the counter exhibited a dismissive demeanor. The first employee seemed upset that she had to pause her use of her iPhone to assist me. The second employee not only mishandled my returns but also failed to provide me with a printed slip to confirm that I had dropped off packages. It was only after I contacted Amazon that I discovered the return wasn't processed properly, and there was no proof of the return in their system. Fortunately, I took a picture of the boxes, as one of the ladies behind the counter was quite frustrated when I asked her to locate the boxes she couldn't find a label for. This type of behavior is unacceptable. If they're dissatisfied with their jobs, they should consider finding employment elsewhere. While I was in the store, at least five other customers came and went, and neither of the two employees behind the counter ever said "thank you" or expressed any kind of courtesy. In my opinion, these two individuals appear unhappy in general and seem to take out any minor issues on customers. I have already filed a complaint with Amazon and will also be submitting a complaint to UPS's corporate office. I sincerely hope the store owner cares about his/her business and addresses these issues. Regardless, I will never visit this location again.
