I arrived at 5:40 PM to drop off a return and was behind a customer shipping three large boxes. The employee assisting her (shown in the photo) was on a personal phone call via Bluetooth the entire time. While helping the customer, she made comments to the person on the phone saying she “hated when people come close to the end of the day with big boxes to ship,” that it was “so annoying,” and complained that there were no men there to help. These comments were made audibly and were extremely disrespectful. The customer being assisted looked at me as if she wasn’t sure whether to say something, clearly uncomfortable. If those remarks had been made directly to me, it would have resulted in a confrontation. Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience for using services during posted business hours. If you are scheduled to work until 6 PM, complaining about customers arriving before closing is unacceptable. This behavior is super unprofessional and reflects poorly on UPS. This same employee has reportedly been disrespectful to other customers, including children, as noted in previous reviews. Management should take this seriously and address the issue. Do better, UPS.
