    I am filing a complaint against the Davie Post Office @ 3850 University Dr . Davie Fl. 33328 I have had numerous bad experiences with the clerks in the past ,but last and final visit to the Davie P.O has been the worst. I filed an online claim for a damaged item and received a letter informing me to bring the item for inspection to my local post office.  Once it was my turn in line, the clerk explained she didn’t handle the claim the clerk to her right (Melody)did. She passed the form I gave her to the other clerk and I stepped to her side, She yelled at me and said I am not ready for you. I tried to explain the other clerk told me to come here. I stepped away and waited about 10 mins for her to call me. Once I started explaining my reason for being there she said did you say you were the shipper of the broken item? I answered yes. She said your claim is no longer valid. I asked why she said the receiver needed to file the claim. This is not true. I left and called U.S.P.S customer service and they agreed.  The clerk’s name is Melody .   After I filed my complaint with U.S.P.S  I received a call from the branch MGR Miss Dixon, she said come in and we will process the package. I get there and then told Melody is off until Friday to come back at 11am Friday.  I get to the Davie Post Office at 11 am and Miss Dixon said Melody is busy and has to run to the bank and take a brake. I asked how long? And  she said that she doesn’t know. She also said I have your number and will call you when she is able to help you.  I told her I would wait in my car. I decided to go to another post office because of the fear of Melody not handling my claim correctly in retaliation.  It is now 3pm and Miss Dixon thinks I am still sitting in my car. It has now been 4 hrs. , The Davie Branch needs to be investigated. Melody need to be remove and not allowed to deal with customers.

    I just needed to send a letter. I stood in line waiting while the clerk chatted with her friend for about 20 minutes. But when it was finally my turn, she suddenly clammed up and couldn’t explain what I needed to do to send it. Completely useless employees and post office. Just shut that place down already.

    Standard letter size .80 oz should’ve have been charged $.78cents but one of the lady either so dumb or deliberately over charged me for large envelope $1.68. Then I confronted her and ask double check she insisted that it only give her large envelope option maybe she didn’t want to find how to do her job correctly . I should have just asked her for stamps and stick it on the letter and call it day.

    This USPS branch is extremely disappointing. The representative here shows obvious discrimination, especially toward Asian customers. While treating white and Black customers politely, he was impatient and dismissive toward me. He didn’t even let me finish my sentence before cutting me off, saying it was impossible and that I was wasting his time. The so-called “help” he provided was completely useless. While waiting in line, I also saw employees arguing with each other about who should serve which customer — clearly not a professional or healthy work environment. The entire atmosphere felt hostile, like customers were treated as less than human. On top of that, the facility itself is in poor condition: the layout is dark, the exterior walls are dirty, and it doesn’t look like a government institution at all. This is not the standard the USPS should represent.
