I mentioned my struggle with the machine to the person behind the counter. As I was finalizing my payment, the "how was your experience today?" survey popped up on the screen, prompting me to answer with a sad, neutral, and happy face. Before I could even move, as if she was planning it from the start, she instantly reached over, hit the happy face, and then we completed the transaction. I'm not sure what the data is used for, but it bothered me that she answered for me, giving a glowing review. There was no one in line behind me at the time.
