- KSKristin ScripterOct 24, 20251.0I filed a formal complaint approximately 4–5 months ago regarding serious issues with the Belleview USPS, yet the situation remains unresolved. Even after emailing Mr. Sherwin S. Salla directly, I received no response or acknowledgment. While living in the area served by this post office, multiple packages were incorrectly marked as “returned to sender” with the false claim that my address was “vacant.” I was later informed that a USPS employee had looked through my windows to “verify occupancy.” This is not only an invasion of privacy but an outright falsehood — the home was clearly occupied, with visible belongings and two large dogs. To make matters worse, I’ve observed USPS personnel on my property without uniforms or visible identification, which is unprofessional and raises legitimate safety and trust concerns. Residents have every right to know when someone entering their property represents a federal agency. Despite escalating this matter to the USPS Office of Inspector General (OIG), I never received a proper resolution. The Belleview Post Office must take accountability for the actions of its employees and ensure mail is delivered accurately, professionally, and without violating the privacy of the residents they serve. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this location to anyone.
