- CKCc “Ck” KDec 26, 20251.0I went the first time, I didn’t have any comments since she had the post office open already… I drop my stuff off and I go about my business. Today is December 26, 2025. She has a note on the door that’s says close from 3 to 4 pm. The doors are locked from the inside part of the building. I just want to drop off my packages that I already printed. I parked outside around 2:55 and got myself ready with my packages. It’s 2:59pm the doors are locked. If you’re going to lock the office, they need two people working so at least one can have a break and the other can work the desk. This is just ridiculous how this office is managed. Don’t waste your time here if you need reliable spot to drop off items every other day. You’re gonna learn the hard way, it’s her schedule not yours or the United States Post Office. She def. Runs that office however she pleases. It’s 3:12. I just drove to the Middletown Post office, it’s lively and they’re actually open and have actually people doing the job they’re hired for. The post office in Townsend is very Convenient for locals. It’s too bad they have only one employee here that looks like they needs help

I left myself enough time to stop in and still clock in on time, but on the door inside was a half assed note saying they will reopen at 12 and i didn’t have time to wait around. Some people are busy during the day (unlike the workers here) and can only do these things in the morning. It is very inconvenient and down right ignorant how this place operates. It’s about time for a complete overhaul of the staff and from now on i will happily drive to middletown to UPS. the convenience of location has been completely overshadowed over and over again by this nonsense.
- JPJanice PowersMar 21, 20251.0My schedule is very tight. I showed up at 7:42 am in hopes to mail a package. The door and website clearly stated the post office opened at 7:30 am. There was no one in sight and the facility was dark. As I left there was also a delivery driver waiting for the staff.This was such a waste of my time, disrespectful, and irresponsible to customers and the poor truck driver on a time frame as well.

I met a clerk there by the name of Iris she was very friendly welcoming me with a warm smile and very professional knowledgeable. She explain to me in detail of the change of address form. Thanks again looking forward to my next visit.
