- DSDeacon StudiesJan 18, 20261.0Woodridge Post Office 2211 Rhode Island Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20018 Rude Clerk Conduct and Poor Hygiene Practices(Unsanitary) ZERO STARS: HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL POSTAL CLERKS Despite entering the facility with a positive attitude, I was met with extreme hostility and a complete lack of professional standards. The clerk was actively eating while serving customers. He attempted to handle my personal documents with his bare, soiled hands. When I questioned this regarding health safety (COVID/flu), he was dismissive and only then reluctantly put on a single black glove. Due to his distracted state, he incorrectly entered a "7" instead of a "1" for the delivery address. He became argumentative when I corrected the error. When I asked for clarification on Certified Mail and Return Receipt services, his explanations were incoherent and dismissive. He made sarcastic remarks, including, "What, you tour post offices?" in response to my concerns about morale. At the end of the transaction, he deliberately bypassed the customer feedback screen on the credit card terminal, stating, "That’s your opinion," and told me to find the information on the bottom receipt instead of allowing me to rate the service. This behavior is a poor reflection of the USPS. I avoided this location for a year due to the culture of rudeness. I recently visited the Woodridge Post Office (Rhode Island Avenue) hoping for a better experience. If you want professional service and someone who respects basic hygiene, go to a different branch. This location has a very draining, negative energy. Very Low Morale Employees have fallen into complacency. (I've been working here for years, business as usual attitude.) One Star - Box was delivered successfully.
