This will be my last visit to this post office due to an unpleasant interaction with a new employee. While several people were standing in line, I asked whether they were waiting. When they said yes, I asked if they would kindly make some room so that a proper line could form and a customer who was standing outside could enter. Although I was not addressing the employee, she intervened abruptly and stated that she was locked out and that this was why people were waiting, speaking as though the situation were my fault. She then criticized me for asking people to move. When I asked whether I had said something inappropriate or upset her, she explained that it was only her second day on the job. I acknowledged this and explained that my intention was simply to organize the line so everyone could enter. She responded by telling me that I should have moved out of the way and stood in a corner, and then ended the interaction by stating, “This conversation is over.” At that point, I chose to leave. None of the other customers—including those I had addressed—expressed any objection or concern about the simple interaction and the person who was waiting outside thanked me for making room. I was surprised by the dismissive and unprofessional tone of the exchange. While everyone may have difficult days or be new to a role, customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, particularly when they are acting with consideration for others. I feel bad that they were locked out or their computer is regularly shut down and understand it’s not the customer service’s fault after all.

Cute on the outside. Nice that it has parking even though it’s absolutely filthy on the inside. SMH.

I visited this location yesterday, and there was only one person working at the window. Unfortunately, she was quite rude and unprofessional when we had a misunderstanding. She told me I had to return to the back of the line, which was already long with about 10 people ahead, even though there was only one person assisting customers. Based on this experience, I would not return to this location. It is frustrating to deal with employees who seem unhappy in their roles. If customer service is important to you, I recommend avoiding this USPS branch.
