There are times when our lives can become overwhelming with work, school, home, children, holidays, and the loss of a friend or family member. Some folks refer to those periods as, [In the valley] or God is [pruning us - Spiritual Growth Through Challenges: Difficulties and trials can serve as part of God’s pruning process, shaping character and strengthening faith]. I was in that stage for what seems like an extraordinary amount of time. That coupled with one of the moments when we must walk alone. Emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually exhausted - I had my mail transferred to the PO on Belden Avenue. I had mail stolen by a resident per the leasing agent's email to me and the resident was identified as [he] took it and opened it. The contents were hair care products for a WOMAN - I still have not received either the package or why wasn't the resident made aware of the cost of the contents and reimburse me. I just received a rude second email stating it wasn't her responsibility to manage my mail - (I did write SHE notified me of the theft). Moving right along - as we all may or may not know there's that one period in life where pandora's box is opened and inside is #Murphy his law and all of his relatives. To walk into that 2 window tiny post office with 2 women who's ice cold demeanor freezes the entire outer patron waiting area. No greeting, no smile, no thank you, no you're welcome - just [...in the future make sure you come earlier...] Riiiiiight after waiting patiently for the new worker to LEARN how to ring up a gift card and envelope for about 22 minutes - perhaps I should make sure I come 22 or 44 minutes earlier in case I have to wait for class to be over. Next and last time I went - a different angry beaver is at the window. I show my ID and inform her it is my old address, but the license had not expired and I gave her my...I was rudely cut off - as she needed to inform me to go to another post office. I said I was just here a few days ago and have been here for a few weeks and I had just received the email with the image. After 3 or 4 angry looks and unable to find the mail twice - I began to get the email with the name of the postal worker...cut off again to tell me if I don't come in 7 days the mail is not there. Butttt she couldn't tell me where it went. She made a call and huffed and puffed her way to the back and found my mail - not apology, no thank you for your patience no have a good night - just a look as if she was filling in for the floor sweeper and just hated doing what she was doing. If I had shared with her how my world had been turning in reverse for the last year - how every organization that is tasked with providing a service and/or care had disregarded every federal, state, statue, ethical, and moral guideline and I was paying the price for THEIR lack of integrity - surely that would have been a reason for me to walk around angry and the AIR I HAD TO BREATHE but energy it takes to be angry - costs way too much.

Not enough staff, one window open, zero pep in their step - seems to be either intentional or out of giving up. If you decide to come, prepare to age there.
