Based on that, I went to the store before 2 PM. I had already signed my document, and the staff member correctly told me they could not notarize it once signed. I needed to sign in his presence. Fair enough. I told him I would go home, get a duplicate unsigned copy, and return. He explicitly said notary services were available until 3 PM (as initially told 4 PM via phone) , otherwise I would need to come back Monday. However, I did notice some hesitation, almost as if he didn’t want me to return that day. I drove 20 minutes home and 20 minutes back. I re-entered the store at 2:45 PM. When my turn came, a different staff member told me, “Sorry, notary is closed at 2 PM and you are here at 2:45.” I explained that I had just been there and was told directly that notary service was available until 3 PM. The original staff member who gave me that information was standing right there and said nothing, completely ignoring the situation. They didn't address it and I had to return back. This was an important document that needed to be notarized. Beyond the rudeness, what’s unacceptable is the complete lack of clarity and consistency: One person says notary is available until 4 PM Another says 3 PM Another says 2 PM No one took responsibility, and no one acknowledged that I had just driven nearly 45 minutes round trip based on their own instructions. If this is how customer service is handled, I would strongly recommend going to Vernon UPS or another UPS Store instead.
