  I forgot to get her name, but on February 8th I visited this location to mail a package. I was having a really terrible day, just one of those days where everything feels heavy, and she could literally see it on my face. She was such a sweet soul. She spoke life into me, told me she hoped my day would get better, and even gave me a hug when I was leaving. That small moment meant more than she probably knows. She was truly a breath of fresh air.

  I had a very disappointing experience at the FedEx Office on 544 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford on February 3rd around 6:40 PM. I came in to return two large boxes that were originally shipped to me by FedEx and had just received the return label from the company. While other customers were kind enough to hold the door for me as I carried the boxes in, that courtesy completely stopped once I reached the counter. There was one employee working. After finishing with the customer ahead of me, she never greeted me or acknowledged me at all. I tried using the self-service kiosk to print the label, but it didn’t work. When I asked for help, I was immediately spoken to in a condescending, dismissive tone and told I “did it wrong” and needed to email the label to FedEx so she could print it. I complied without issue. The employee then demanded a second label, even though the company had only provided one and the boxes had originally been shipped together by FedEx with a single label. Instead of explaining policy calmly, I was met with more attitude and told, “That’s not how it’s done,” with zero effort to find a solution. When I explained I live 30 minutes away and could forward a second label as soon as the company responded, I was told to take the box back with me. When I said that wasn’t reasonable, the employee abruptly grabbed the box and placed it outside on the sidewalk before I even left the store. That was the only moment of urgency during the entire interaction. This wasn’t a policy issue—it was a customer service issue. The lack of professionalism, respect, and basic problem-solving was unacceptable. A simple explanation or a courteous tone would have completely changed this experience. Customer-facing roles require patience and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. I would not recommend this location based on this experience.

  This team is amazing! I’ve had several print jobs here and every time they knock it out of the park with the work and customer service. Amani was super patient with me when I ran into problems on my end, and always found a way to accommodate regardless of the issue. This location is my go-to!
