  I've never had issues when mailing etc in the post office. However, I scheduled a passport appointment a month ago and they called the day before saying it had to be changed, because they don't do passports on Saturdays and to please schedule with a different location. Now I'm unable to schedule an appointment somewhere else until a month from now and somehow if you try to schedule at Cheshire, Saturdays are available. (Which I'm assuming would be canceled if you scheduled.) Very upset. If the post office is unable to do Saturdays then they should not allow bookings for Saturdays and they need to cancel earlier than the afternoon before.

  Now I get why this location has 2 out of 5 stars. I needed to ship computer screen and the man working there very rudely said they don’t have a box of that size. He sent me to Home Depot where I got the box I needed. I went back to USPS just to be told that it would cost me $188 to ship it. He could have told me approximate price before he sent me to Home Depot. He also was extremely rude and slam his door to come out and help us complete address field. I thought he would give us a blank form to fill out and attach. We ended up not sending the monitor. All this could have beeen prevented if he only took some time to help.

  Gotta be the worst post office ever ! They used to come so regularly at the same time. Now they even come after dark, noon time, or in between. Gone is morning delivery. They deliver the Cheshire Herald every Thursday and when they miss it a few times a year, they say they don't deliver it.. lie right to your face, mgr included. They refuse to answer the phone and are basically useless. I drive to other locations for any real service. I say privatize the USPS !

  I have always been treated well when I bring my packages to send or buy supplies. So many negative reviews about staff but I think they are all doing a great job. My mail carriers are considerate and I have only had one package not arrive in over 40 years. I do miss the Amazon hub that used to be at Rite Aid but so far, carriers have done a fine job including the USPS carriers. Thank you.

  We live in a new development where the Cheshire CT post office has refused to deliver our mail for over a year. While all other new developments in Cheshire receive curbside delivery, the mailboxes on our quiet cul de sac go unused while we and our neighbors are forced to pick up mail and packages at the decrepit, unsafe and poorly staffed Cheshire post office. And people wonder why the post office has such a poor reputation; it is nonsense decision making such as this.
