I agree with the others these are some of the rudest most entitled public servants I have ever seen should all be fired and lose pension we a citizens should not be treated this way. "0" is their best score.

Takes forever. Always swarmed with people and only one worker every time. slow customer service always. Needs to be a quicker method. I come here a few times a week and it takes 30 minutes just to get a label for my package.

I would rate 0 stars if possible based on multiple interactions with one employee there; the “lead” woman. She is obnoxious and rude. She refused to let me use a pen to fill out a label, her exact words were “I have a pen but not one you can borrow” meanwhile there were multiple pens right next to her. I had to leave without mailing out my package because of this! I couldn’t believe it nor could the people in line behind me. Today she turned me away because she said the return address on my packages was not in Bloomfield so she could not mail them out!! I’ve never heard of that before! I’ve been to post offices out of state and mailed a package with a return address in a whole other state! She is a miserable human being with zero customer service skills!! She doesn’t want to help a customer just turn them away and belittle them. I would not want someone like her working for or representing my business. Whoever is in charge there needs to reevaluate why on earth she is employed!!!

So this needs to be a SHARED 1 star review. Both the actual post office and the CUSTOMERS in Bloomfield need to share this review.
The service is painfully slow !! Only 1 clerk on duty for a town of 20,000 people. It is literally faster for me where I live in Bloomfield to go to the Weatogue post office but I needed bubble mailers (and Walgreens is across from the post office in Bloomfield).
Customers can’t even form a basic waiting line like in a bank or a cafeteria. This leads to people having to block the entrance. Unsafe.
Now for the customers. Far too many customers come UNPREPARED to mail things. It is the customer responsibility to get things organized before leaving your HOUSE. It slows everything and everyone else up
You have customers who are so functionally illiterate that they can NOT properly copy an address and omit numbers and parts of addresses.
You have customers who want money orders and try to pay with a credit card. You MUST pay cash or debit to receive a money order.
Of course the guy who buys the $230 money order had cash on him. He just acts a fool thinking the post office is an EVENT destination and has no consideration for anyone else but himself.
The post office to their detriment allows this behavior and almost condones it as it slows things to a crawl.
Then the Post Office receipt printing machine is acting up and cutting off the tracking numbers.
The center of Bloomfield deserves better…Bloomfield as a town wants to become a “West Hartford”.
Bloomfield however is more and more each day showing just how far down the income scale they have fallen and as a town stands no chance of competing against other neighborhoods and neighboring towns.
You must be able to do basic everyday functions.
The residents of Bloomfield are just not ready for prime time…show just how little knowledge they have of how to send basic mail, have no sense of awareness that other customers don’t have all day to wait…and then hold up the line with lack of money and proper preparation.
The Bloomfield Post office needs to share the blame 50% as they are understaffed for a town of 20,000 people (and the town wants to grow)
Avoid this bad situation at all costs if possible
Both the Bloomfield post office and the Bloomfield residents are just totally inadequate
