The Beacon Falls USPS has progessively gone down hill since Dave and Barbara left. I have had problem after problem with the new Postmaster Esther (rude, arrogant, combative and unprofessional). She wouldn't scan a package for me nor give me a receipt. I needed a delivery date on my receipt (have always gotten that information for the hundreds of packages I ship out) but she lied to me saying this info was not available to me. I reported her, they do nothing. No one cares. In addition, I have requested multiple times for our carrier NOT to stuff our mailbox with packages. We have a back door on the box and when she pushes packages into the box mail falls out all over the ground from the back and she drives off! So disrespectful and aberrant.

Went to return a package today and the lady working the counter was absolutely rude and miserable.

This is a small town post office. My experience was not good. I ordered a dress just in time for my friends wedding. It was delivered at 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday. I received a notification on my phone at 6 pm. the email said...look for your package around your grounds and check with the neighbors. Needless to say my package was delivered.... 3 doors down to another women's house. The carrier put my dress on the ground next to the tires of my neighbors jeep. My dress weighs ounces not pounds and could've easily fit in the mailbox. My neighbor who's house the USPS's Gps shows it was delivered to....says she does not have the dress. The carrier says, oh yes she does...Well I'm not getting my dress back. I don't have a dress for the wedding this weekend. The post office manager Brian said.."go online and fill out a claim to get your money back We can't do anything for you". We can write a letter and kindly ask her to return it. So yeah this experience was not good. I guess..They get things right and they get things really wrong. The take away from this series of debacles....I learned I have to Make sure I have advance informed delivery and pay for shipping insurance on important items. The post office won't go out of their way if they lose an item. ...regardless of importance
