It’s pretty frustrating to be the only person at the counter, watching 5 FedEx employees run around ignoring me, PLUS taking a guy who came in after me and serving him first.

I’ve spent the majority of my career in and around marketing. Marketing is figuring out how to position a brand so that it ranks high in thought when a consumer needs its type of product or service. Hang with me here.
Monday I shipped an overnight package via FedEx. Over the past two years, I’ve noticed that FedEx has been seemingly intentionally doing things that are the opposite of creating good thoughts. Like local team members with the “Sorry, that’s the way it is. You don’t need to talk to the manager cuz they’ll say the same thing” reply. A mere training issue, right? NO.
It turns out the team member is right. Manager: “Sorry sir, nothing I can do. Call the 800 number.” Okay. 800#: “Sir, your package will be delivered tomorrow.” I know that, I’m looking at tracking. My problem is that it’s late. Three days late on an overnight. “Yes sir, I understand your frustration, but it will be delivered tomorrow.” Odds are, it won’t. Let me speak to a supervisor. “Sorry, that’s the way it is. You don’t need to talk to the supervisor because they’ll say the same thing.” I’ll take my chances. Supervisor: (Gives me the non-active statement) I say I know as a matter of fact that you can directly communicate with nearly every driver on the planet. How about sending the alleged driver a message to ask if they actually have the package? “Sir, let me place you on hold.” She returns and commits to personally actively tracking it and WILL call me by the end of the day either way to give a status. No call. Hmmm.
I better send a replacement. Surely the store manager will ship it for free. I hope so because overnight for Saturday isn’t cheap. Nope. “Sorry sir, there’s nothing I can do.” I didn’t yell. Didn’t raise my voice. I just shook my head and thought what a great company FedEx used to be. In that moment, something happened. Brandon recognized this whole situation was just wrong for a multi bazillion dollar company whose original slogan was “When it absolutely has to be there tomorrow.” He says “I’ll pay for it. I should have done this from the beginning.” Yes you should have.
Brandon is the type of manager every store needs, especially when their company is doing everything it can to destroy itself. BTW this is the third or fourth time this year this grossly delayed package thing has happened to me. Brandon is the first manager who’s stepped up. Thanks Brandon.
Both packages arrived this morning. Saturday.

What a terrible place. On several occasions packages are delivered here instead of my house and this FedEx location doesn’t even have the audacity to CALL ME before just shipping them back to the sender. Their excuse was “we didn’t know your number”. I checked to make sure my phone number was clearly on the packages sent to me, so that was a blatant LIE! What a terrible place and team of workers.

I don’t ever think I’ve experienced such poor and rude customer service in my life. Waited over 35 minutes when I was one of the only customers in the whole store and the only customer in the whole store who needed help… Had to leave and drive to another Fedex location because they were purposely ignoring me..
Other location on Arapahoe Road helped me within 5 minutes of arriving.. Would recommend driving the extra 10 minutes, it will actually save you time and be way more productive.

The workers here are always super helpful and nice. They are patient with stupid questions and quick to fix the issues that arise with self help features.
