I had a very unpleasant experience today. The staff member who assisted me, blond, ponytail with bangs, was cold, unfriendly, and not courteous. During my interaction with her, I requested tracking service, but there seemed to be confusion, and she repeatedly insisted that I had asked for signature confirmation instead. It felt like we weren’t on the same page, and there was no effort to clarify or communicate properly. In an age where postal services are competing with digital alternatives, customer service really matters. I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy during the interaction. Our tax dollars can be put to a good use with better individuals in her place.

I went in today during passport walk-in hours and was told by the person working that they are not doing walk-ins because they were “understaffed”. I went to another post office where I was informed that the person that helped me was in fact a clerk and perfectly qualified to process my application. She just did not want to. Her demeanor towards customers was also very poor. If this location doesn’t want the revenue from passport processing then they need to stop doing passports at that location because multiple people had the same experience at this location today.

Unfortunately not the best experience at this location. I came for passport services. The employee informed me that she could not help me without an appointment. I stated that online it says they accept walk ins on Tuesdays from 9:30am-11am. Again, she said that she would not help me and sent me to another location.

Tried to mail a package of 5x7 pictures to my dad in England. She told me it will cost him 52 to pick it up, I asked why if I am already paying for it. She said "idk, tariffs". I said is that in dollars or English pounds? She said "idk". Then she said very dismissing "do you want to leave to think about it?" I said no, I want to send the pictures. She tried to avoid me filling out the form that has always been a requirement to mail overseas, but of course the computer didnt let her. So after I filled out the form, I had to wait for her to come back, she began to put the SAME EXACT information in the computer, and now it would cost my dad 65 (dollars or English pounds, who knows because she didn't). I asked why did it change? Once again she didn't know. I then asked how long will it take to get there...any guesses on what her response was?? That's right! "I don't know"..I then asked for an idea of a time frame, she said "here is your tracking number, but once it leaves the US, you cannot track it anymore". I left hating that whole experience because of her dismissive, unprofessional, lack of knowledge behavior. In case anyone is wondering, it arrived in the UK a week later and my dad paid nothing 😉. So try to avoid dealing with the older lady at this post office if you have to get anything done because I think every day is her first day and she hates her job.
