I have been using the free general delivery service to get my packages for 3 years. Never had to pay or sign up for it. I sent 3 things here. Each time I went in they couldn’t find it and didn’t understand what general delivery was. They sent me away and said they’d call if they found my mail (highly inconvenient). Once they did they charged me $7.50 to pick up a normal piece of envelope mail that weighed nothing and $18 for a small package. They said it’s policy to charge. I decided to send things to woodland park USPS instead. They had my packages ready to go and gave them to me for FREE!

I’ve owned my property for three years and have not had a mailbox like all other residents in my neighborhood. Driving 40+ minutes round-trip to get my mail just to find out they returned a package for failure to pick up. this is such a small town, snowstorms, and other things come up where Mail can’t be checked as often. Especially with the drive.
