If you’re having a perfectly good day and want the next bit of it to be awful, find a package to ship, take it to this location, and ask for Tammy. She will without a doubt go out of her way to make you feel like you’re the dumbest, most annoying person she’s ever encountered. A little love note I wrote for her; Dear Tam Tams, I’m really glad that you’re so good at your job and can perform any task perfectly, even ones where you didn’t know that they were supposed to be done a certain way. While it might seem like the rest of us should be as knowledgeable about your job as you are, please try to remember that we don’t work at the USPS. You do! which means it would be pretty cool if you tried to help the rest of us without making us feel bad for being an obstruction to your important day.

In such a nice and friendly neighborhood, this post office really leans into be contrary to the vibe. Go to Edgewater where they treat you like a person and understand basic conversation principles bound with politeness.

I had to send out a package which was prepaid. It was international, and as its not an every day thing to send out an international package, I didnt know how. I originally checked out with a man, I believe he was South Asian (for identification if an employer sees this) and he was helpful but not the most kind. He gave me the international form to fill out, which I did most of except the parts I wasn't sure about (i.e. weight of the package). I got back in line and the man was busy so a woman (I assume Tammy/Linda based on other reviews) "helped" me. She was friendly to an old woman who checked out in front of me, so I was hopeful, but as soon as I walked up her demeanor changed and she was rude. She started off by telling me I filled out everything incorrectly and that I was missing information and would need to restart the form. I said, "I dont work in the mail service so how was I supposed to know all that?". That's when the man stepped in and explained to her that it was an international package that I was shipping out and that I DID fill it all out correctly (thank goodness for him!). So, she was drilling me for literally no reason and without even asking the nature of my package. She didnt apologize or try to be nicer after that either. I said, "so I DID fill it all out correctly, huh?" And she was not happy about that. But by this point, it got to the end of the payment process where three faces pop up so you can rate your experience. She said, "oh its so dumb that the question pops up where I can see it. Its not like you will be honest"... so of course I had to press the green smiley face (although I wish I had pressed the red face in front of her now that I am reflecting on the terrible experience). The only time she was remotely nice was when that screen popped up and she said, "have an awesome day". Why cant you just be a little nicer for the rest of the time instead of rude until the very end??? Its a bummer because I can walk to this post office, but to avoid dealing with her I now just drive or bike to a different office. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because of the man that set her straight for me. He wasn't the most kind either, but he wasn't nearly as rude.
