I spoke with someone today (a Tuesday) on the phone who was knowledgable and friendly, and helped me understand my options to decide what would work best for my timing constraint. She confirmed that they are open till 4:15 (although the packages had already been picked up around 3:30 pm for today's outgoing shipping). Great customer service!

Not sure about prior but the hours when he is scheduled are adhered to. Anything slow is because of inefficient mail sorting up the line at this point.

More often than not you will be lucky to catch the postmaster there sometime between 1 and 3, with no notice. Sometimes you can see a hand printed note on the window. Most of the time, if your expecting a package, UPS and USP will attempt to make a delivery and she is not there so it will arrive 2 to 5 days late when the Friday employee shows up and actually is there during operating hours.
