Purchased a town home in Castle Rock. New homeowner information told me that I needed to fill out an application for a new key. Filled out the application at the post office that is not the "warehouse". Nice lady took my application, reviewed my driver's license, and the deed transferring ownership and told me to wait for a call from someone to come pick up my key. That was in August. I haven't been able to get my mail for almost two months now. Can't vote, can't get mail from kids' school. Nothing. Went up to the post office they call "the warehouse" post office, the one with the buzzer that doesn't work and told me that my mail application was never received. Both of the post offices here are terrible. I hate this experience. I'm not even mad anymore, I just want my mail key and to move on with my life.

2 packages now have been marked delivered and never showed up. Not even sure what to do at this point. Never had this problem at any other place I’ve lived

They have rude employees who like to drive by citizens and challenge them to "follow him down the street" and then wasting police resources.

My 1 star review was related to two items: - poor condition of our cluster of mailboxes - unsuccessful attempts to reach someone by phone in the local post office and being sent to menu-tree hell, with no option in the menu tree to report a malfunctioning mailbox, lock, or key. Backstory: Went to pickup a package this afternoon, after being notified it was delivered today. I walked up to the mailbox(its in a group setting where a bunch of mailboxes reside) and opened my own mailbox to grab the mail. Sometimes we get packages that are too large to fit into the regular slot, and in these instances the mail carrier will put these larger items in one of the larger boxes and provide a key to the larger box. This was our situation today, however when i went to use the key to one of the larger, numbered boxes to retrieve the mail, the key didn't work. Upon closer inspection of the larger box key i noticed it was slightly twisted and likely the reason why it didn't work. I tried calling the local number listed on Google's website, and after about an hour and 20 different attempts to reach a live person and having tried multiple key options that resulted in a dead end, I gave up. If the goal of the local post office is to provide excellent customer service and timely resolution of issues, my experience with them was the opposite of that. Update: 9/6 We met the new carrier for our block this afternoon coincidentally as they were dropping off mail and we shared the issue with the mailboxes and the lock not working. Apparently they are in the process of replacing the locks in the group that are no longer working and they were able to provide us with the inaccessible package from yesterday. I updated the review to three stars on account of having a positive interaction with our new mail carrier, but calling into the post office is still a substandard experience, with a confusing menu tree and no clear way to report issues with mailboxes or speak to a live person. Update: 9/7 The post office called us on Sunday morning to check in and make sure our issue was handled. Factoring in our interaction with the new local mail carrier on Saturday and hearing back from the main office on a Sunday, they turned our experience from a bad review to a positive one. Thanks for the follow up guys, very much appreciated.
