I had to go to the post office to drop off a package & buy a booklet of forever stamps on the 15th. I was able to drop off my package relevantly easy, there was only one person - Tremayne Bridges, working the front cashier while another was sorting mail. However when it came to picking up the stamps, I was prolonged for OVER AN HOUR waiting to get the stamps but I ended up leaving empty handed, Tremayne mentioned after i dropped off the package it'll be a little bit until he can get me my stamps as he wants to knock down the line, i was like Uh.. okay? and stepped off to the side, at least 40 people walked by me, I even helped a guy who had a dolly and held the door open for him. The line had like 2 people left and every couple of people he was like "OK FARMER, OK BRUCE LEE" (as I requested the bruce lee & sunflower stamps) WE ARE GETTING CLOSER, IM THE ONLY ONE HERE" He would make jokes and be kinda rude to everyone walking up, but more people would trickle in and at the last couple of people, about 3 more people walked in and he put me off again! I waited a little more and he gave out some stamps to other people but left me hanging. I got in there at 3:34pm, dropped my package and requested stamps at 3:49pm and left there at 5pm with the package dropped off but no booklet of stamps. I got frustrated at him after waiting so long and he said if you don't like waiting, I can call security and escort you out, Maybe come back when we opened in the morning for the stamps and it was my fault for picking up stamps on tax day. I rarely go to this post office to begin with but due to a time sensitive package I had to drop it off in person. I wish the alameda office didn't close down but I will drive out to Illiff for my stamps now at this point deliberately avoiding the post office. The postmaster general shrugged and blew off the whole thing.

I had a very disappointing experience at the USPS Altura Station. My appointment was scheduled for 9:45 AM on April 10, 2026. I arrived on time. The door was closed, so I knocked and waited while an employee was helping other customers inside. I knocked again after a few minutes. After about five minutes, the employee opened the door and told us we missed our appointment. I tried to explain that we had been there on time and were waiting to be let in. At that point, the supervisor, Tremayne Bridges, stepped in. He was rude and did not allow us to explain. His tone was dismissive. The way he spoke to us felt disrespectful and unfair. I expect basic professionalism and respect when dealing with USPS. This experience did not meet that standard.

This is not a “regular” US Post Office. It is a “special” passport-only processing office. You cannot send packages or mail letters here, and the rude staff seem to think this should just be understood by osmosis or some other means that doesn’t involve them. We’re just “supposed to know.”

I took time off work to make sure I got to my appointment on time. This place was not easy to find… the post office is in a corner, pretty hidden. The door said “knock” so I did and they kept me waiting for awhile. A man came to the door and was beyond rude. Asked if I filled out the application. I never received one. Asked if I had an old passport or my birth certificate. Didn’t know I needed that since I filled out all the paperwork online. Had the cashiers check in hand, ready to pay. The guy practically pushed me out the door. Barely helped with how I can reschedule. I told him I was just trying to understand because I felt rushed. I said he seemed annoyed and he said (in a very condescending way) “no, YOU seem annoyed!” in front of customers and coworkers. I felt very disrespected and will not be going back to this one but wanted to be sure to write a review since this was a waste of my time and he really made me feel bad about myself. This man should not be working here if he’s going to act like that to paying customers.

Came for walk in passport hours. Website listed from 10:30-11:30. I got there at 10:38 and they said they were closed. Its ridiculous and a waste of my time. The website says you’re open for walk-ins you should be taking people in. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
