Postscript: Package eventually received, issue resolved. A call to store management ascertained the package was indeed present in the recipient's box. Just a curious gap between the delivered message from USPS and the recipient finding the package in his box...? curious.

I am a personal assistant who returns packages for my boss and she has pretty much accused me of lying because I have to bring an Amazon return QR code printed out on a piece of paper because I don't have access to my boss's Amazon account. I will honestly drive out further from my job to avoid this location when I need to make returns now. Everyone else is nice. This woman needs a reality check.
