This place was so organized for the passports! I had an appointment at 12:30, went in 15 minutes early and was out at 12:35! Amazing. Even the no appointment line only had a few people in it. They will take your passport picture there for $15 , so, don't get ripped off by getting it somewhere else for a lot more... Like I did. 🙄 Pretty friendly and very efficient staff. 👍

Only 4 stars because of the long wait ( 1hr outside, about 2 inside just waiting) but know that I did not have an appointment. Staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful AND friendly! (Though tired, they're dealing with a lot). 1. Make sure your documents are COMPLETELY filled out BEFORE coming. If not I guess do it in line outside but bring a clipboard or something to write on. They do have a LIMITED supply of paper applications and they run out so that's why they recommend coming with your own. 2. Be prepared to wait. Bring water, headphones, a portable charger for your phone, a book, playing cards, whatever. You're gonna have to kill some time. There is AC inside and god bless them a fan (and it's hot) but there's an outside area with tables should you brave the heat (some of them have umbrellas so it's not too bad). One lady brought lunch with her. Queen. 3. Be prepared to STAND too. There aren't enough chairs. Wear comfortable shoes. 4. There are NO public bathrooms. 5. There are vending machines that are cash/coin only. Not sure if it's expensive but at least those are an option. 6. There was a fruit vendor near here and that fruit looked glorious in this heat so BRING CASH and support your local vendor. All in all, my partners appointment only took him like 5 mins lol. Other people's seem to take way longer.

Customer service is good when you get inside, but we were there as walk-in today(Thursday) and waited around 6hrs to submit paperwork. They are currently only accepting ds 11 application, and the application, if printed online, cannot be double sided. They do have forms in front of line to be completed while waiting. It's definitely better to get an appointment. One of the workers mentioned Glendale has availability next week, so we will get that for our kids, and for kids under 14 both parent need to be present to apply.

Subject: Complaint about Supervisor Conduct and Facility Conditions at Sherman Way USPS Office I am writing to file a formal complaint about my experience at the Sherman Way USPS office on June 19, 2025. I arrived with ten minutes to spare before the official closing time. However, upon turning into the USPS driveway from Sherman Way, I discovered—only at that moment—that the entire parking lot was closed for reconstruction. There was no signage or prior warning to alert drivers until they were already attempting to enter. This forced me to look for alternate parking and led me to arrive only one minute past closing time. At the entrance, I was blocked by a woman identifying herself as the supervisor, named Ms. Gain (spelling may vary). She refused to let me in, which I understand is within her rights. However, I believe that the responsibility for lack of signage falls directly on USPS management — specifically her, as the on-site supervisor. This was a preventable issue. More importantly, when I tried to explain the situation, she asked if I spoke Russian and then switched the conversation to Russian. She then said: “Only Russians always complain. Unorganized people always come late.” This statement is deeply offensive and discriminatory. I am a U.S. citizen and have the right to equal treatment regardless of my national origin. Her remarks were not just inappropriate — they were xenophobic and caused me emotional harm. It was a violation of my dignity and rights. Additionally, Ms. Gain was not wearing an official USPS badge or uniform like the other employees. She had only a small tag in her pocket. When I asked her to confirm her name or show credentials, she refused and said, “I don’t have to show you anything.” I am requesting the following: • An official investigation into the conduct of Ms. Gain. • An explanation for the lack of parking signage during construction. • Clarification on USPS policy regarding identification and uniform requirements for supervisors. • A formal apology for the discriminatory comment. Thank you for your attention. This matter concerns basic standards of respect, professionalism, and equal treatment. I trust USPS will address it appropriately.
