I came to the post office and stood in a fairly long line. At some point, I noticed a woman with a baby who walked in but didn’t get in line. I didn’t pay much attention at first. When it was finally my turn, that same woman suddenly stepped forward and was served instead of me. She did not ask anyone for permission to go ahead. The staff clearly saw that she had not been waiting, yet they said nothing and simply allowed her to skip the line. They didn’t check with the people ahead of her, nor did they make any effort to maintain fairness. Having a baby is not an excuse for rudeness or entitled behavior. I didn’t want to cause a scene, but this situation was absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, it only reinforces the idea that people like her can use a child as a free pass to ignore basic respect and order — and the staff will support it by saying nothing. A line exists for a reason. Everyone deserves to be treated equally — parent or not. Maybe next time I should bring a dog or a cat with me to skip the line without asking anyone. Or is this kind of behavior only acceptable when you have a child (who, honestly, you might not even need to bring to the post office)? It's not an emergency nor Titanic. Maybe I should get a reborn doll and avoid the queue that way.

No drive up off. Parking in rear is the best option. (Edit) Drive up boxes are on the residential street side. It is better to come North up the residential street and park facing opposite traffic to make your drop-off.

Parking is around the back. You enter and exit opposite directions. Due to Covid there is a line out the door as people are six feet apart on marked floor tags. The staff are wearing masks and behind lucite walls which I think were up anyway. I don’t recall. The lines move quite quickly and most people are very polite, from the customers to the staff. Only once have I seen an employee wear a mask below their nose and that was yesterday. It was not someone at the front but a person coming from the back, non-public area, to ask a question. Hence the three stars and not five. Also they do not clean the credit card machine after each person uses it so they should provide hand sanitizer at each machine so Covid isn’t spread. It seemed crowded inside to me. Too many people. There is a limit bevause of the line, but people come in with others in their “pod” and there needs to be someone who works there monitoring the number of people inside.
