- ONOrlando NellApr 13, 20261.0I scheduled a passport appointment online through the official USPS website, specifically selecting the option to have my photo taken at the location. I showed up on time only to wait over 20 minutes in line before being told at the counter that the photo machine was broken. There was absolutely no notification sent to me beforehand, no update on the booking system, and no sign at the location warning customers before they got in line. The agent then informed me that my appointment was canceled, as if I had done something wrong, when in reality I had followed every step correctly. To make matters worse, they also refused to accept a package I had brought with me. If your equipment is broken, the absolute bare minimum you can do is update your online scheduling system so customers are not wasting their time driving out and waiting in line for a service you cannot actually provide. This is a basic operational responsibility. I now have to wait until next month for the next available appointment at another location because of a failure that was entirely on this office.

Why have appointments available at times when they cannot be fulfilled? The appointment went smoothly once it started. I also noticed it took over 7 days for the state department to receive my application. Not sure why this location was so slow in mailing it out.
