And each summer we set up our mail to be forwarded to our residence in Idaho. The entire staff at the Solvang Post Office always go out of their way to make sure we get out mail and packages. They're always friendly, helpful, and courteous. It's amazing that they serve so many folks in this predominantly rural setting, yet they know you by name and always seem to get the job done. We're very fortunate to have such a quality team of people managing our mail service. Many thanks to you all. Joe
- BDBlue DogJun 29, 20221.0The mail carriers are not very professional. They refuse to exit their vehicles to deliver mail. So, if a random car parked in the street is too close to a curbside mailbox, they just pass that box by. Think this is crazy? Our mail carrier just left a form in every persons box on our street stating same and is now doing same. The crazy thing is the form is a notice to correct for farmland boxes that might be old or in disrepair. And we’re in Solvang Village. But we’ve all had other problems with this office. Folks send out a stack of Christmas cards with “Forever” stamps on them and they all get retuned as overweight and not enough postage, even though they are standard store bought cards, and, in our case, cards from the same box were shipped from LA without any postal issues. We need a new local Post Master. This one is not providing leadership…
