  This is a wonderful small town post office with the nicest staff. Mail delivery is somewhat personalized because we are so remote. When you go into the office, you are taken good care of with the efficient and knowledgeable staff.

  The Postmaster and Postal Clerk here are petty bureaucrats who abuse their power and are not customer-service oriented. I wish they would both retire. I gave them one star because they don’t deliver my mail. My Real ID, my Driver’s License, my health insurance cards, my Christmas card from my 84 year old father? All Returned to Sender for “Improperly Addressed.” Who knows what else has been returned? Apparently the Postmaster at Huntington Lake has told his staff at Shaver to “return all improperly addressed mail.” That guideline is implemented sporadically by the Postal Clerk based on whom she likes and dislikes. I have lived here for ten years and ALL my mail made it to me before the new Postmaster and Postal Clerk started. There are only about 100 people living in Shaver full time. The postal clerk knows exactly who I am, where I live, which box is mine. After I filed a complaint with the USPS, the Postal Clerk called me on my cell phone at work and yelled at me about filing a complaint. Then she retaliated by returning the most important mail. I never was able to get my Real ID. (At the time I applied for it, the US Government only allowed us to use street addresses on Real IDs). The struggle to get my Driver’s License and Real ID took two-hour trips to Fresno, hours on the phone, a letter and phone conversation with a State Representative, all of which could have been avoided if USPS simply did their job- delivered the mail.

  Fabulous customer service and care!! Best post office I have ever worked with for my mail delivery. Living in the mountains means unique issues for letter and package deliveries and shipping, the people at Shaver Post Office understand this and work to solve issues and keep mail availability as fast and efficient as possible

  SOOOO IF YOU ARE A LOCAL AND YOU PUT YIUR ADRESS IN INSTEAD OF YOUR PO BOX ADRESS AND THIS POST OFFICE RECEIVES IT .... THEY WILL SEND IT BACK. IVE LIVED HER FOR 20 YEARS AND THEY HOLD ALL MAIL THEN THEY SEND IT BACK EVEN THOUGH IT HAS INCLINE ADRESS ... SO YOULL RECEIVE IT IN 2-3 MONTHS ____ MATTHEW WAS SO RUDE AND HAD NO RESPECT OR CARE AT ALL. WORST POSTAL SERVICE EVERRRRR!

  Wow...so I thought my package would come to my home. But no I have to drive an hour away because they won’t bring it up to where I live. I do online shopping so I don’t have to drive down to get my items.
