Despite being gracious, friendly and prepared with my return codes, the person working there, named Evan, was rude, hurtful and patronizing. When he saw the volume of returns I had, he said “You’re not going to make any friends doing this many returns. UPS never wanted to do these this in the first place. It’s okay if it’s one or two but this is a lot.” It felt like such an unnecessary gut punch, completely unprovoked. He proceeded to say I “did a good job at least” preparing my returns. I found this to be sexist and patronizing. I’m not a child and this kind of behavior was very unprofessional. I left feeling sick to my stomach.
