Amazing service the young man with dark curly hair was so helpful! It’s rare to get this level of customer service in today’s world. Thank you!

I'm giving a star for the staff's pleasant demeanor and another star for their willingness to try to be helpful. But these two qualities don't amount to much when paired with ineptitude, fecklessness, and a compete lack of basic problem solving skills.
I requested that my package be delivered to and held at this store since I wasn't going to be home during the scheduled delivery time. Right after they opened at 8am I went in to get it and was told they did not have the parcel nor record of it having been delivered. I called Fedex national customer service who said that the package was likely at the distribution hub at Santa Barbara airport and would be delivered to the retail store during the course of the day. Late in the day, after no further notifications from Fedex, I drove to their airport distribution hub. The manager there confirmed that the package was delivered by the driver to the 23 S. Hope Ave. store. So I drove back to this location and they said they do not have the package there. They suggested I open a claim with Fedex. The next morning, I got a voicemail from Fedex that the package was at the 23 S. Hope Ave. store and to come there to claim it. I went there and the retail clerk could not find the package. She enlisted help from another Fedex retail clerk and while they looked in their computer, I spotted the package sitting by itself on a nearby counter near the registers. They told me that a driver had dropped that package off two days earlier and "didn't tell nobody nothing." It had just sat there on that counter without being scanned. None of the three times that I went into that store did any of the various clerks who helped me think to check that package when trying to help me locate my parcel. They were nice about it, and apologetic. But I would have preferred competent.

Incredibly rude service. The employee talked to me as though I was a nuisance. He was also treating other customers in a similar manner. Avoid this location.

Unhelpful during Covid + staff giving out incorrect info. I wanted to get a gift card for future use of printing out clients emailed minuscule checks for mobile deposits to my bank, with the few dollars I had left today on my Credit Card which will disappear tomorrow when the Credit Card adds in it's interest (e.g. the few dollars will disappear). The counter person said I had to pay cash for that type of gift card. I said I had had no cash for months. She said "We cannot accept a credit card payment for a FedEx gift card". But just a few weeks ago they did swipe my card and hand me a gift card. So I know it's possible. What a shame, what a shame. We in Santa Barbara have always been so proud that it was a local UCSB that founded the Kinko's / FedEx nation wide chain in the 1970's and so proud that FedEx took it over with the original good customer service. The original location was in IV and then expanded to just 1/4 mile down the road at 4141 State St. But FedEx ... hmmm ... now wrong direction wrong direction wrong direction now and wrong attitude for us native Santa Barbarans. We want a little heart from our businesses.
