I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be helped. Usually it's a quick in and out!
Very friendly staff and very efficient. The line always move fast even they are so busy. Dana and Neelema provide exceptional and excellent customer service.
I had a very disappointing experience at this UPS location (San Lorenzo/San Leandro Greenhouse shopping center).
When I arrived, I was ignored at the counter while multiple customers who came in after me were helped first. When I was finally assisted, I was told I needed to tape my packages or be charged. I went to my car, got tape, and returned with everything properly prepared.
However, another customer who arrived after me was helped ahead of me and was offered assistance taping her damaged package for free, despite being told I had to do it myself. The inconsistency in treatment was noticeable.
Shortly after, that same package leaked coffee across the counter, causing delays and forcing me to move my items and wait even longer.
When I was finally being helped, a manager intervened and repeatedly told me to step aside, claiming I was “not ready,” even though my items and codes were fully prepared. She continued interrupting, speaking over me, and unnecessarily escalating the situation. She also began nitpicking my returns despite everything being in order.
The situation escalated further when another customer inserted themselves, and instead of de-escalating, the manager continued to argue and even criticized the employee who was appropriately assisting me.
I also observed a clear difference in tone and treatment between myself and another customer, which was concerning.
Overall, this experience felt unprofessional, disorganized, and unnecessarily escalated. I hope management takes this seriously and reviews how customers are being treated at this location.
I asked my friend to help me ship several envelopes (documents only, not packages) at this location.
My friend does not speak English well, and the staff did not clearly explain the service or the price. She was charged $109 without fully understanding what she was agreeing to.
These were just simple envelopes, yet she was put into an expensive service without proper explanation. She did not understand that she was selecting a 2-Day Air service, and would not have agreed if the cost had been clearly explained.
After the transaction, we noticed a printed notice stating that there are no refunds or exchanges. However, this does not change the fact that the service and pricing were not properly explained in the first place, especially given the language barrier.
On top of that, the shipment was sent on Tuesday but did not arrive until Friday, which does not match the expectation of a 2-day service.
When we tried to call the store to resolve this issue, the staff hung up on us and redirected us to a phone number that no one answers.
This experience was extremely unprofessional and felt very misleading. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, especially if there is any language barrier.
Walked in at 2:57PM just to drop off a pre-labeled package. Lady kicked me out insisting they are closed. “Your sign literally says you close at 3PM.” “No, we are closed.” Nice.
