I am appalled that employees in a government public service position could be so rude, disregard regulations, and lack basic common sense. This complaint is specifically directed at the supervisor and employee Ms. Yu. My family (husband, 6-year-old child, and I) arrived on time for our 11:00–11:15 AM scheduled passport renewal appointment, only to wait over 1.5 hours without any clear explanation. Instead of following the scheduled appointment system, Ms. Yu randomly waved people in without confirming their names or appointment times. We saw other people with later appointments processed before us, and our appointment was completely ignored. When I confronted Ms. Yu, she had no answer and seemed dismissive. To make matters worse, the supervisor came out and yelled at us, saying: "Everyone has to wait! Blah blah blah… You should not get a passport! Blah blah… You should go to another store!" There was no apology or effort to resolve the situation. It was a complete disregard for customers and professionalism. I’ve never been treated this badly at a government service location. The only reason I am giving even one star is to acknowledge Lori, who went out of her way to cover for her colleagues' mistakes and helped us when the supervisor failed to act professionally. Lori, who was assisting with walk-ins, was highly professional, efficient, and did not join in attacking us when the supervisor made those inappropriate remarks.
