I am writing to formally complain about an incident that occurred at the post office involving one of your employees. I was at the location at 4:31pm.
While I was being assisted by another staff member at the front counter, a second employee who was “assisting” other people interrupted our interaction without cause. She inserted herself into the conversation in an aggressive and unprofessional manner and began raising her voice at me and my spouse.
I made it clear that I was trying to get clarification on shipping methods and verify addresses and was simply trying to complete my transaction. Despite this, she continued to shout over me and speak in a disrespectful tone. Her behavior escalated to the point where I could no longer hear the employee who was actually assisting me. When I pointed this out and asked her to stop, she became even more agitated and continued shouting.
This employee’s conduct was disruptive, inappropriate, and unacceptable in a customer service setting. Her actions created a hostile environment and made it impossible to complete a simple transaction without unnecessary conflict.
For identification purposes, this occurred at the front counter during my visit, the woman was African American, was wearing gold eye shadow, had short hair, and was not wearing a visible name tag which made it difficult to report her directly.
I expect that this matter will be reviewed and addressed so that other customers are not subjected to similar treatment.
