Holly was very helpful. There may be a long wait in line depending on the time you arrive. Limited staff at this location.

Yes, there’s a line if you want services. Plan accordingly and stop complaining about something that is out of their control.

Some genius staffed one person during the holiday season. There’s even a line for the self serve kiosk lmao.
I would’ve just left but I was next and I get the lovely discovery that the woman is trying to mail 5 international packages while also acting surprised the uk has “horrendous duties”!
Why is there only one staff for the ENTIRE USPS? 👎

It took someone 20 min to send a single letter because the attendant kept putting the wrong address. Super inefficient at this day and age.

DO NOT BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS IN REGUARDS TO THE SELF SERVICE KIOSK HOURS LISTED ON THE OFFICAL APP/USPS site! It says on there that the self service kiosk closes at 5:30, whilst the retail closes at 5pm. I guess the doors close for ALL services at 5pm? According to the rude, dismissive man in glasses at the door. 🤷🏻♀️
I got there at 5:02pm, not wanting/expecting to be able to use the kiosk and drop off slot. I technically already had a small prepaid package so it wouldn't have been a bother to anyone. But theyre always super jerky and mean at this location. I havent been here in ages but already had a bad taste in my mouth. So Im assuming I had previously had some bad experiences here. It's been years so I will admit that I can't remember anything specifically. But the worker who just at the door was just super rude and dismissive. I get it that some people try and come let and expect to be let in ect but that wasn't the case. And even if he had assumed that..well thats just his own issue IMO and honestly theres no need to be rude being that I was very polite and didn't try and argue. All I said was that their website said the kiosk was open till 5:30..which it does but I guess their own offical app/website is wrong and he calls the shots 😏🙄
I went to the Clayton St. Post office (they close at 5:30pm) and the woman whom helped me was SO incredibly nice! A smile really goes a long way! So if youre running late and close to 5/5:30 I would HIGHLY suggest making the trip over the hill to Clayton and Haight. The parking is just as bad at 18th st unfortunately but it's not impossible. There was no wait in line either so I was able to be dropped off and have someone double park and wait for me cos it only took me maybe 2/3 mins tops! Seriously though the clerk's kindness seriously made up for the jerky dismissive attitude I had recieved at 18th.
