It took someone 20 min to send a single letter because the attendant kept putting the wrong address. Super inefficient at this day and age.

DO NOT BE FOOLED LIKE I WAS IN REGUARDS TO THE SELF SERVICE KIOSK HOURS LISTED ON THE OFFICAL APP/USPS site! It says on there that the self service kiosk closes at 5:30, whilst the retail closes at 5pm. I guess the doors close for ALL services at 5pm? According to the rude, dismissive man in glasses at the door. 🤷🏻♀️
I got there at 5:02pm, not wanting/expecting to be able to use the kiosk and drop off slot. I technically already had a small prepaid package so it wouldn't have been a bother to anyone. But theyre always super jerky and mean at this location. I havent been here in ages but already had a bad taste in my mouth. So Im assuming I had previously had some bad experiences here. It's been years so I will admit that I can't remember anything specifically. But the worker who just at the door was just super rude and dismissive. I get it that some people try and come let and expect to be let in ect but that wasn't the case. And even if he had assumed that..well thats just his own issue IMO and honestly theres no need to be rude being that I was very polite and didn't try and argue. All I said was that their website said the kiosk was open till 5:30..which it does but I guess their own offical app/website is wrong and he calls the shots 😏🙄
I went to the Clayton St. Post office (they close at 5:30pm) and the woman whom helped me was SO incredibly nice! A smile really goes a long way! So if youre running late and close to 5/5:30 I would HIGHLY suggest making the trip over the hill to Clayton and Haight. The parking is just as bad at 18th st unfortunately but it's not impossible. There was no wait in line either so I was able to be dropped off and have someone double park and wait for me cos it only took me maybe 2/3 mins tops! Seriously though the clerk's kindness seriously made up for the jerky dismissive attitude I had recieved at 18th.

I went to this location to send off a priority mail letter. I asked to pay for priority and to have the ink stamps rather than using a book of stamps I intended to send in the letter to my mother. The worker said they could not do that, and that I’d have to put 13 stamps on the envelope. Manager subsequently came out to assist me and was a bit surprised I put 13 stamps on the envelope and informed me that I could have just paid to have ink stamps. The worker who originally assisted me then asked why I put 13 stamps on the envelope…

The clerk at this Post Office is not professional at all. They have you waiting in A long line with only one clerk working and this has been consistent. You wait a while in a long line and then the clerk tells you no cash only credit card. This isn't professional at all. Why not post it so if you want to use cash only you will know not to stand in line. Plus this Post Office is stuffy with no air conditioner nothing and to hear no cash unless you want to come back later. I will no longer be returning to this post office my time is valuable and apparently they don't think so. I feel bad for other people who have to wait in A long line with only one clerk. Hire more people you are so unprofessional. All the Above!!

Great staff but probably worth noting that they removed all the outside mailboxes except for one that only takes letters. You can NOT drop off pre-labeled packages after closing hours. Ridiculous.
