I used to come occasionally to this post office when I worked a few blocks away. The employees were OK, but not any better than other post offices in San Francisco. One plus for this post office is that there is often street parking, and a Safeway lot across the street you can use in a pinch. I stopped by with a package on Dec 29 since I had some business in the neighborhood. I decided I didn't need to stand in line as I already had postage, so just dropped it in the slot. Long story short; they didn't scan my flat mailer package into their tracking system even though I had printed the standard scannable label from online. The package wasn't delivered for 6 days (not including New Year's Day), even though it normally only takes 2 or 3 to the same address in LA. I had no idea where it was in the system, so was sweating about whether it would arrive on time for my friend's Birthday. As it was, I only got the notice it had been delivered the day after it got there. I suspect it didn't leave this office until After New Year's.
... So, if you have to drive to an SF post office, you might consider this one for the parking. However, I won't be going there again as it isn't as reliable as the Fox Plaza or Brannon Street post offices.

I think most people come in unprepared or unaware of what they need to do to get done what they want to get done at the post office. Most of the wait was people not knowing what they’re doing, fixing it in the back and then thinking they can go to the front of the line when they fixed their errors. Stop them from going back to the front and it’d go much more smoothly. The staff was fine. Not the most enthusiastic bunch but what can you expect. It’s the post office. The customers were the painful part. Not the employees.
