Typical USPS experience. They lost an expensive postage International Priority Mail envelope. After submitting a claim online and them doing their research, I was given a form to bring to a local office for a refund. The local office doesn't know what to do. I was promised a call back. My third visit in now they've lost the paperwork, and I've never received a call. Very unprofessional and poor customer service (as usual with the USPS).

A lot of reviews say bad service but I had good fast service. Nice Asian man working the desk. I was initially annoyed because the doors were locked but I had to walk around to the entrance next to Gambino’s, the lunch place that had some outdoor tables. They have a lot of stamps here which i like! I usually go to other post offices in SF for stamps but had never been given such a selection. I picked SpongeBob stamps and also Ruth bader Ginsberg!

Lady at the counter is ill mannered with a ton of bad attitude. I was buying a money order after a long while, and asked to confirm what amount would show on the money order since I made additional purchases, and she shrugged her shoulders and raised her voice at me to answer back. Last year, I received rude behavior from the staff of this station as well. Higherups should take note.

Clerk 14 is a calm level-headed reasonable angel. I bought a money order from Clerk 14, my bank refused the money order. I went to the closest post office I could, their clerk told me to write on the money order, my driver license was expired, I just forgot, that office refused to cash my own money order. So I ended up with a $100 piece of trash paper, I live in my car, I got that little bit of cash performing heavy metal songs on 5th and Market. I go back to Clerk 14, I introduce myself to her, again. Clerk 14 remembered me, I only came here 1 time. I tell her the tough situation. Clerk 14 verifies that it is the money order she sold me, she refunds me. Thank you, for the hand up, Clerk 14.

Who still sends letters? Well, I do. A lot of friends in Europe have been moving, getting kids and such. Since no one sends cards anymore people love getting them. Especially from the other side of the world. Not having been in a post office for a long time anymore I was surprised by how cheap it is to send a card. Little over a dollar. And it usually arrives in under a week. Yes, the lines can be long. So relax, take your time and dream away to all the destinations you could be sending your card to. Maui, anyone?
