- HHHMDec 9, 20251.0NOTE: if you drop off a pre-paid package or pick up any, you will be charged extra fees based on weight. You’ll also need to pay $11.00/hour for mandatory hotel parking. This cannot be comped. I literally just picked up 4 separate packages (all lightweight, clothing contained envelopes) and had to pay almost $50 in undisclosed pick-up fees alone PLUS +$11 in parking. UPS itself doesn’t add fees, but independent stores partnered with hotels or convention centers charge extra. So in essence, Hilton San Diego Bayfront will nickel-and-dim you twice. These prices aren’t listed on their official UPS website; it's only stated in-person. Is it legal? Yes, but also incredibly unethical and predatory. Avoid any hotel-affiliated ones (including 675 L St) and go to an independent store like 2020 Columbia St—this store is free and customer service is friendly.
