Staff incredibly rude, especially in the guy who works in print. Apparently the management is ok with it. Staff up front rude as well. Will take oir business elsewhere.

I wanted to share feedback about an upsetting experience I had today with a Staples associate named Melody, who was handling Amazon returns. From the beginning of our interaction, Melody appeared visibly irritated and was extremely rude. When I was pulling up my QR codes—something I had prepared in advance but accidentally tapped the wrong screenshot—it took me only a few seconds to find the correct one. Even so, she acted annoyed and impatient. At one point, I believed a QR code hadn’t been scanned, and when I asked, she responded in a very rude tone insisting she already had. At the end of my returns, she angrily threw my box of shoes into the large returns bin. My husband, who was standing with me, even commented on how unnecessary that was. I told her I hoped she had a better day, and she snapped back, “Yeah, I hope you do too,” in a hostile tone. When I asked for my receipt, she dismissed me and told me to go to another register. As I moved to the front to get my receipt, I saw her talking about me to another customer, shaking her head, and glaring back at me. Another associate, Karen, helped me retrieve my receipt because some items were missing. While I was with Karen, Melody looked over and made a face at me from across the counter. I said, “Are you seriously making faces at me?” and she replied, “No, I’m way more mature than that,” while continuing to mumble under her breath. After leaving, I looked at the Google reviews for this location, and I noticed at least three separate negative reviews within the past year describing similar rude behavior from Melody. Seeing those comments made my experience even less surprising, and honestly more concerning that the pattern appears ongoing. This entire interaction was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. No matter what kind of day someone is having, this is not how customers should be treated. I’m a loyal Staples customer, and I have never experienced anything like this. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the store.

It is so obvious the staff hates taking Amazon returns. I shop here for all my business office supplies but the staff was so rude (more than once) I’m going to go to UPS for returns and buy my paper and ink online. It’s unfortunate that customer service like this drives the buy away from brick and mortar. Sad.

Great experience today. Went in to recycle some toner cartridges and drop off an Amazon return. Kaleigh (I hope my spelling is close enough for her supervisor to acknowledge their superstar) handled recycling and then hustled over to Amazon return station. Friendly, helpful, charming, attentive she was simply delightful. Staples is lucky to have such a terrific representative.
