- JJJT3 days ago1.0Horrible experience with IG.. Not sure if this is normal. Long story warning. I was contacted by this company by text and was confused that the recruiters I was working with were from different states & did my research to be careful of scams. Desperate, I gave it a shot anyway. This is my first experience with a temp agency. The recruiter Rachel tried to help me with a position. She constantly forgot to update me or send me links for interviews. When she sent me links they were at the wrong time. She was in a different time zone, so I tried to give her grace. She would correct herself very last minute when I asked. The hiring manager for IG, Daniel, lowballs me and says I should ask for the lowest pay to stay competitive even though I have experience. This was unlivable wage, in Sac I couldn't survive on that but I continued on. I then phone interview on with the Operations Manager on Friday. She says she loves me and wants to offer the position to me immediately & tells me to ask for more pay. She says someone will update me Monday of when I can come to see the company in person. I went through 4 rounds of interviews and thought I secured the job. On Monday, I get no follow up in the morning. So I contact my recruiter she says "I'm sorry I just found today out they went with an internal hire." This whole process took 2-3 weeks of my wasted time. You can tell the recruiters are young and fresh new grads.I've never had so much disgust for how unprofessional a company runs. I know my experience is similar to others unfortunately.

They recruited me on a job, and as I was going through the process, after I had been offered a job, everyone I spoke with assured me I would get the job at Highlands Community Charter School. I was then forced to pay for all my own background checks, fingerprinting, and many other clearances. I did them all, totaling around $500 and even have an email from a staff member at IG that he would reimburse me. I did not get the job or an explanation of why not and I was out all the money with no reimbursement, and every time I contacted IG, I spoke with a new person. Lastly, after not doing anything when I did not get the job, they didn’t even bother to keep looking for a job for me
