The lady behind the counter told me my sturdy vans shoebox, which is a cardboard box, is not an acceptable box. Since my box was refused at the counter, I went ahead and asked an official UPS driver if my shipping box was appropriate and he said yes, there’s nothing wrong with it and he took my box for me very kindly. This location is so weird about which types of cardboard they accept as boxes and maybe need to read up on the UPS policies. While I do see some shipping guidelines, there is no official rule on shoeboxes. The official UPS employees have no issue with the type of cardboard box you use.
