Went into the US Post Office in Pleasanton and it was honestly smoother than I expected. Walked in, got helped pretty quickly, and the staff actually explained what I needed instead of just pointing me somewhere. Place gets a bad rep sometimes but this visit was solid. In and out without it turning into a whole thing. It’s still a post office so yeah it can get busy at times, but if you go at the right hour it’s pretty straightforward. Just handled what I needed and left, no issues.

Terrible customer service: only USPS in the entire Bay Area that refuses to do USPS QR code prepaid label scans that takes only 30 seconds for an employee to do and forces customers to use the broken Self-Service Kiosk that almost never prints receipts and is very slow. Employees at this USPS have zero patience for their jobs and unwilling to sufficiently help their paying customers compared to surrounding post offices in Dublin, San Ramon, and Livermore. Do not support this USPS.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from one of the staff members during multiple visits. A few weeks ago, I mailed several envelopes, and the staff member provided incorrect postage. While mistakes can happen, I corrected it as instructed and proceeded. I also mailed additional envelopes recently without any issues. However, during my most recent visit, I was told that the postage cost for the same type of envelopes was now higher. When I explained that I had mailed identical envelopes the previous week at a lower cost, I was given inconsistent information and told I would need to change the envelope type. I showed receipts and proof, but my concerns were dismissed without any attempt to help. What was most concerning was the attitude. When I explained that the mail needed to go out that day and I could not return on Monday, the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The staff member (of Asian descent, with mid-length hair) was consistently unhelpful, dismissive, and showed a lack of basic customer service. This is in stark contrast to other employees at this USPS location, who have been courteous and easy to work with. This experience was frustrating and unacceptable. I hope management addresses this, as consistency and professionalism are essential in customer-facing roles.

Navdeep was super helpful for my passport process, I forgot my birth certificate and I came back later (thankfully it was the day allowing walk in passport help) and she helped me through. Super friendly, clear and nice!

Review for Hetal: Met the nicest Employee, not just in USPS but I think in any of my customer service experience, here at the Pleasanton location. Hetal helped with my passport application, answering any questions I had even she was helping other customers with patience. When I had some info filled out wrong, she made sure that I got it all correct and ensured I wasn’t hurried given that it was her lunch break aswell. Thank you Hetal for leaving a good impression on behalf of all of USPS staff. She gave me a QR code where I can leave review but the USPS website wouldn’t let me do so if I did not choose the Livermore location. So leaving in here and hoping that USPS sees and give her the credit for an outstanding customer service.
