Consider yourself warned, this is one of the worst post offices in Los Angeles. Tracking said my package was at this location. Myself and 3 other customers were locked out during business hours and denied access while an older male mumbled inexplicably and wandered off after taping an orange paper to the locked door. If you ever get a package delivered here, have it redirected to a different facility. The worker will pretend to look for your package and then give you a number to call that never answers. This happens regularly at this location and I am shocked that these lockouts are still happening. Instead of leaving low stars online, file a complaint directly with the Inspector General at uspsoig dot gov/file-online-complaint if you want this disrespectful behavior to stop. Complaining on social media does nothing to help our community get better service. This male needs to retire, it is abundantly clear he has no desire to be of assistance to the good people of Playa del Rey.

Try to avoid getting Steve here.
It will take at least 20min to write the address down in the system.
He is a good man, and I want to be respectful, but it's time to retire buddy.

Most of my visits, to this post office, in recent years, it has been closed during business hours. There typically is a handwritten sign on the door, with some excuse like "taking inventory," or "out to lunch." The return time written on the notes, usually is wrong. That time rolls around and it is still closed, long after. Further, the guy working there has a serious attitude problem. One time, when it was actually open, they didn't have any first class stamps. I've never heard of such unprofessionalism and incompetence. Also, there might be a line of people, when it's actually open, when he's done "helping" someone, he'll go in the back, without a word, and disappear for a while, as people wait. USPS, please get some good customer service help.
