A signature-required package was not delivered because the carrier failed to ring the doorbell or knock. We have video evidence showing the mail carrier parked for three minutes before approaching our door only to leave a "missed delivery" slip, claiming we were "not home." This claim is false, as two cars were clearly parked in the driveway, and our house lights (including the lit Christmas tree) were on. The video clearly proves the carrier never attempted to make contact, despite the requirement for a signature. We are extremely disappointed by this incident and the subsequent difficulty we faced trying to discuss this behavior with the Postmaster. This type of service is not new to us, as this specific mailman fails to deliver accurate mail. He gave dropped off someone else’s mortgage in our mail with the WRONG ADDRESS AND WRONG CITY.
