  I had no idea that Staples was hidden back in a corner until I had to get some blood drawn. So I figured I would stop in and get some pens. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received while I was there. Customer service seems to be lost in the current world we live in but I must say from the moment I walked in, I was genuinely greeted with a warm smile and a sparkle in her eyes. On top of hearing “good morning, welcome in” the woman on the floor (Barbara)approached me with a smile and asked “what can I help you with today”? I explained what I was looking for (pens) and she proceeded to walk me to the pens asking if there was a certain pen I was looking for. She showed me different pens, told me what she liked, was honest in telling me she had not tried certain ones I looked at. Barbara was also able to find an item on line to order for me. I mean, who does that? That is going the extra mile and then some!!! I’m also now a Staples Member and Barbara explained the benefits to me as well as explaining ALL the things you recycle! That list is rather large!! Thank you Staples for hiring someone who truly puts the customer first, keeps a beautiful smile on her face and makes an effort to ensure satisfaction. I’ll be back!!

  I went in to get a passport photo and was informed by an employee that the “system was down”. When I asked them when it would be back they gave me a dubious response and when I asked how long it was down, they said “It’s been down for a while now”. Staples, don’t advertise services that you don’t actually have.

  This review is solely based on my last two experiences with a woman named Barbara that claims she is the manager. I walked in first thing this morning with a smile on my face ready to do some Amazon returns and when I asked at the register if this where I do my Amazon returns, she rudely replied “unfortunately yes” I packed up my things and decided to go to the Petaluma location just to avoid having to deal with her! I have had another awkward experience with this employee where she was snarky and also negative! If you don’t like your job, find another one. There is no excuse to be rude to customers especially in retail and first thing in the morning. I called back to let her know how I felt and she never took responsibility nor apologized. As such, I reported her to the corporate office and will never go back to the store again if she is working!
