  I'm bummed to be writing this review because I've been using this UPS Store since 2022 when I moved to Napa and generally have had positive experiences with my shipping and Amazon returns. I also, don't write negative reviews unless I feel like it's truly warranted. However, I had a recent experience that was so disappointing, I won't be doing business here any longer. I made an appointment to meet with a notary to sign a one page (actually, half page) document to order my son's birth certificate. Even making the appointment was new for me because in my experience with other UPS stores in the East Bay, I could just show up and if the notary was on site, I could get my document notarized. I was 7 minutes late and that was my fault - I have a newborn and a 17 month old - life is chaotic, and parking was tough. I walked in and apologized immediately, noting I was there for my appointment. I also had 3 amazon returns to process in my hand. There were no other customers in the store when I arrived - dead quiet with two employees working. I was immediately told by the notary on site that I had missed my appointment and she would not help me. She said she had another appointment coming up at the 15 minute increment, and they are not allowed to accommodate late arrivals. I showed her the half page document, noting that it was so quick and fast and if she could please help me. She said no, and turned around and walked to the back. She wouldn't even help me with my returns. At this point, another customer had arrived and was being helped by the other staff member, so I waited at the register she left me at hoping she would come back so she could at least process my returns. She never came back. I was literally in tears because of the coordination I had to do to this point to get childcare while my husband was at work to make this appointment for our son's birth certificate and became late because parking downtown can be rough during high tourist times. I ended up doing my Amazon returns at the self help kiosk - it took me about 10 minutes between waiting for her to return to the register, deciding to go to the kiosk, and finishing my returns. No other customer came in for notary in that 10 minutes, or any other customer into the store for that matter. It was a ghost town. When I got in my car I called the UPS Store on Solano, and asked if they could get me in to have a document notarized. She said I could come in any time. I drove there, walked in and had my document notarized in about 3 minutes. For me, it was about the willingness to offer someone a little grace when things didn't go as planned. It was completely in her power to help me as a customer, and she wouldn't even consider it.

  I had an issue with a return. Someone else took my package to make my return and they did not process both returns. I called the store in a panic and Katrina was able to do both returns and was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond and was amazing. Give her a bonus! We need more people like her in customer service roles!!

  No workers have to wait 15 minutes to drop a package off ( one employee?) and the kiosk will not print my tag so I can leave making me late for work … very disappointed! Hire some workers!!
