Honestly surprised by the low ratings — this post office deserves better. We visited this morning for passport appointments and the experience was smooth from start to finish. The staff was warm, efficient, and accommodating, and there was barely a wait. Whether today was an unusually quiet day or the reviews are just outdated, we left impressed. Highly recommend.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Re Eagle Rock USPS Passport Office. The female passport office representative is very rude and impatient. Last name; Hsiu. While waiting for my appointment time, I noticed she did not have the time to answer basic questions by customers when the paperwork (is) can be confusing. There was a young Asian woman who was filing a 'renewal' on the properly titled form..."Renewal". Yet, Hsiu impatiently told her to fill out another form without explaining why the other form was not the correct one. Poor woman was truly confused... as I was. The young woman was frustrated and felt she was trapped with this rude service just because her passport needs renewal to travel home for a family affair. Another older Asian woman also wanted to renew her passport before the 10 year expiry. Hsiu just blurted 'appointment' without explaining how and where to make an appointment. Hsiu didn't explain how to make an appointment online. This simple instruction (which takes two seconds) would've lessened the lady fear and frustration. She literally said she is afraid of Hsiu after I had to interject to make sure she was ok. For me, I handed Hsiu my birth cert COPY and she immediately spouted 'original' without giving me a chance to produce the original document. When it came time to pay (as I already researched the two part processes), Hsiu just spouted a dollar figure without explaining the connection as to which type (State Dept or USPS processing fee) the fees are associated with. It only takes a few seconds to relay such info. This USPS employee, Hsiu is ethnic Chnese and handled her position as rudely as possible...as if our time (and monies) we're not important to her being there. Lady, our presence guarantees your employment and salary. Her position is a front-facing representative of the passport office (as a USPS employee) and makes an immensely BAD impression of the State Office and USPS. BTW: all of the customers and myself are Asian...and comprehend English very well. We are adults who made no mistakes yet were treated as children. We expected a certain decorum from Hsiu as we fulfilled our duties with proper paperwork, money, and the normal questions anyone would have when some of the sections on the State forms may be confusing. If Hsiu is bothered by the passport office position and common questions passport customers usually have (albeit the same Q's), she needs to be transferred away from any customer service position or retired. The amount of time and monies spent by the public to procure documents, make copies, take off from work, wait in line, show-up, and pay money is a process in itself. To be met by rude USPS Passport staff is not a good experience. Not even a greeting of hello or good morning/afternoon. Nothing much to ask for as these are customary, mature, greetings when conducting business that has an official and monetary component. To think I or someone who needs to file for a passport (to travel for family or emergencies or leisure) is being treated rudely is such a shame and unfortunately is representative of USPS staff who falsely believe they are protected government employees and can act anyway they choose. Like I said. Hsiu (or anyone staffing the USPS passport office at Eagle Rock) should be glad we are showing up to justify their employment. and don't deserve to be treated rudely! ABSOLUTELY RUDE, IMPATIENT. UNOROFESSIONAL!!!

I requested a redelivery and waited all day, but no one showed up. This is very disappointing.

The service was faster than I expected, by about 5-10 minutes.
