Dear UPS Store Silver Lake… I stopped in early this morning shortly after opening and left genuinely disappointed by what should have been a simple errand. From the moment I walked in the customer service was lacking. The man behind the counter acknowledged my presence but offered no greeting… not even a basic "I'll be right with you." With no other customers present and a brand new business day just starting that's a pretty low bar to miss. The counter area also had other customers' envelopes and packages sprawled out openly… which for a business handling confidential shipments is worth addressing. But the moment that truly made me uncomfortable happened when I standing there waiting amongst the abandoned packages and confidential envelopes with my two dogs I noticed the female employee who I assumed walked into the back was cowering in the corner visibly panicked and announced she was afraid of dogs. I want to be clear… I have genuine empathy for people who are uncomfortable around animals. Fear is real and I respect that. What I cannot respect is the complete absence of any training or protocol for handling this situation professionally. I was left standing there feeling unwelcome, anxious and genuinely uncomfortable while the energy in the room would make any dog uneasy too. A simple calm walk into the back would have been suffice... or here's an idea - keep the dog fearing employee BEHIND the counter. Here's the thing though… your store shares a small portion of the building with sprawling The Urban Pet… a full service pet shop and grooming center taking up more than 2/3 of the whole building. Dogs are not an occasional surprise at this location. They are a daily certainty. The fact that there is apparently zero protocol in place for something that must happen multiple times every single day is a serious gap in training and management. Customers… and their dogs… deserve to feel welcome and comfortable. This morning I felt neither. And to the employee in question… gurl, if dogs walking through the door sends you into a panic… you may want to reconsider working in a building that is essentially a pet destination. Just a thought. 🐾

This is my favorite location, those guys are the best crew, going above and beyond for customers 😁 And! They are open now on Sundays and early hours. Super location!

Usually I have great service and I love the people who work there but there is one employee who always has an attitude/is passive aggressive. I couldn't catch his name but he is a bald, black, young-ish male. He always has a rude or passive aggressive tone when I've asked for help with something. I am giving three stars for the other employees there and their excellent service but that one employee seems like he hates his job.

This UPS store has always been a pleasure doing business with. The employee's are usually working very hard to accommodate many customers and they still have a pleasant attitude. I've shipped stuff, sent stuff back to Amazon, and have had stuff printed here. I'm glad they are in my neighborhood.
